Continuity of Care
You’ll have me; the same midwife supporting you throughout your pregnancy, birth, and the early weeks with your baby. Continuity of carer is recognised as the gold standard in midwifery care; improving outcomes and creating a more positive, supportive experience for you. No rushed appointments; just time to feel heard, ask questions, and make informed choices that are right for you.
A Calm & Supportive Approach
Your birth experience should feel safe, relaxed, and positive. I focus on care that feels calm, supports physiological birth, and builds on self-trust, allowing you to fully embrace your experience.
Longer Appointments, More Time for You
NHS appointments are often brief, leaving little time to explore concerns or birth preferences. Our appointments are unhurried, allowing for deeper discussions, emotional support, and preparation for birth.
More Choice, More Control
Your care is centered around you. You’ll receive evidence-based, up to date information to support your decision making and personalised care that fits around you.
Home Birth Support
The NHS often has limited home birth services due to staffing availability. I provide consistent, reliable support for your home birth, so you can feel safe and confident in your decision, knowing that I will be right there with you when it's time to meet your baby.
Personalised Postnatal Care
After birth, your personalised care continues with me as you settle into life with your newborn. With a focus on continuity and tailored support, I provide ongoing postnatal visits in the comfort of your own home. I'm here to help with feeding, newborn care, and your recovery, offering the reassurance and continuity of care that many women find invaluable.
A Focus on Your Safety and Wellbeing
As you prepare for your home birth, I will be there to support you in both body and mind, helping you feel ready and confident. Using relaxation techniques, birth partner guidance, and a focus on building self-trust, you’ll feel supported throughout. If things don’t go as planned, you can be reassured that I will ensure your care transitions smoothly; prioritising the safety of both you and your baby at all times.
Support After A Difficult Birth
If you’ve previously experienced a difficult birth, I can offer unhurried time to listen and space for reflection; working together to help you feel supported and confident as you prepare for your upcoming birth.
Evidence-Based, Compassionate Care
Your care is always grounded in the latest evidence and best practice. You’ll receive guidance and support that aligns with gold-standard midwifery care, ensuring both safety and respect for your birth preferences.
Trusted, Personal Support
Having a midwife who truly knows you can make all the difference to your birth experience. My care centres on building a strong, trusting relationship from pregnancy, throughout birth and as you settle into life with your new baby. As I get to know you, you’ll feel well supported, knowing that I'm right there with you.
Why pay for an independent midwife when I can access free NHS care?
With a very small caseload, unhurried appointments, and truly woman-centred care, I offer the kind of one-on-one support and flexibility the NHS simply can't. You’ll have the time and space to feel heard, explore your options and feel fully supported; without ever feeling rushed.
Yes. I recommend that my clients also book with their local NHS maternity services to access care such as scans, blood tests, and screening. This collaborative approach supports safer care, better outcomes, and a more positive birth experience.
Yes. As a Registered Midwife; regulated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), it is a requirement that I have appropriate indemnity insurance, so you can relax knowing you are in safe hands.
Do I see the same midwife each time?
Yes! You’ll see me for all your appointments. No need to repeat your story to different people; you’ll get consistent, personalised care from start to finish, just as it should be.
As well as updating my skills regularly through training, I follow the most up-to-date, evidence-based guidelines to make sure you’re getting safe, high-quality care. If any concerns pop up, I can refer you to NHS specialists to make sure you get the appropriate support when needed.
How do you personalise care to suit me?
I take the time to really get to know you; your needs, preferences, and what matters to you. Every appointment is relaxed, unhurried and in your own home, giving us space to chat, explore your options, and make sure your care is exactly what you want and need.
Absolutely! I’ll be with you every step of the way, supporting you to feel calm, confident, and well-cared for in your own home. It’s all about creating a space where you feel safe, comfortable and relaxed.
Yes, your birth partner is a key part of your journey! I make sure they feel just as informed and supported as you do. We’ll go through everything together so they can be the best support for you on the day.
What happens if I need to go into hospital?
If you need to transfer to hospital, I’ll be there to support you. While I can’t provide clinical care in the hospital, I will of course, be available as your advocate and support person if that is your wish.
Absolutely. Whether you’re planning to breastfeed, formula feed, or do a bit of both, I’m here to offer advice and non-judgmental support to help you feel confident when it comes to feeding your baby.
You’ll get loads! I offer extended postnatal visits at home for up to 28 days after your birth, checking in on your recovery, feeding, newborn care, and anything else you might need. It’s all about making sure you feel fully supported as you adjust to life with your new baby.
