One-off Midwifery Appointments
Sometimes, you just need a bit more time.
Pregnancy, birth and those first weeks with your baby can bring up all sorts of questions. Sometimes you just want the space to sit down with a midwife, talk things through properly and have the time to make sense of what’s right for you.
My one-off appointments give you that space.
They’re available during pregnancy or after your baby is born, and you can book an appointment for whatever you’d like support with.
A little extra support, when you need it.
During pregnancy
Perhaps there’s something you’d like to understand in more detail, you’re weighing up your options around a particular decision, or you’d simply like more time to talk through your plans for birth.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before I visit. We can start wherever you are and take the time you need.
An antenatal appointment could be useful if you’d like support with:
Talking through your birth preferences and what matters to you
Looking at information and evidence together to help you make an informed decision
Exploring your options around a particular aspect of your care
Having an additional antenatal check
Talking through something that’s been on your mind
Preparing for the practical and emotional changes ahead
After your baby is born
The early weeks with a newborn are a huge adjustment, and sometimes having a midwife there to listen, answer your questions and offer practical support can make all the difference.
There’s no set agenda. You bring what you need, and we’ll spend the time focusing on you and your baby.
A postnatal appointment could be useful if you’d like support with:
Feeding and getting to know what works for you and your baby
Settling into life with your newborn
Your recovery after birth
Your baby's wellbeing and early days
How you’re feeling emotionally
Any questions or concerns you’d like to talk through
What to expect
Appointments take place in your own home and last 1–2 hours, giving us plenty of time to talk without feeling rushed.
£250 per appointment
Appointments are available on an ad hoc basis, subject to availability.
